Ever since the popularity of “Tempt the Fates” overseas, I plan on making a few more episodes and posting them online to get the story moving a bit more. Gabi really enjoyed the story and I have the layout down for three more books.
The issue is this: in Tempt the Fates, the main character is a college student and his older sister doesn’t have anything listed in what she does. I’d like to delve a bit more into their histories and put the main protagonist in high school instead. I feel it would draw more attention to the characters and make them appeal to more readers. Also, I want to tone down the blood and gore a bit and make it something easier for younger readers to enjoy.
I don’t want to parent readers by any means, but maybe touch on topics normal adolescent teenagers might go through.
Doing this much change to the story means some heavy edits on the first book, however I owe it to the 20 people or so who’ve bought the first book to know I’m working on becoming a better writer and to polish the stories more before they’re on amazon.
The second book will be entitled “Twist the Fates,” where the brother and sister go back in time to find another time traveler who is bent on changing history by bullying them around him into doing what he wants. I look forward to going back into this world and writing a great story which may make readers look at life a bit different.
Anyway, I’m still stuck at work, so I’ll have to start writing the outline later tonight if the twins and wife give me some free time.
And if the car gets me home without stalling and getting me killed on I-75.
